Calling All Young Artists
Ireland’s Greatest Children’s Art Competition
Enter RTE’s fun art competition open to all children up to 18 years old. RTE is doing their very best to provide entertainment and projects to children in these challenging homeschooling times. Not only is the Home School Hub back but also they have extended their deadline for the This is Art! competition until the end of January. In cooperation with the Creative Ireland Programme and some phenomenal judges, children all over Ireland are invited to submit their creations under the theme ‘This is Now’.
Children can submit artwork from any art discipline until the 31st of January 2021. All submissions will be displayed in a digital gallery. The judges on this years’ This is Art! 2021 Grand Prix Award are Joe Caslin, Sarah McAuliffe, Leanne McDonagh, Tadgh Crowley and one of our favourite book illustrators, Fatti Burke. Fatti Burke has created some of the most iconic Irish children’s books such as Irelandopedia and children’s books on historic characters in Irish history. There have been lots of great submissions already from young talented artists but if your child has not participated yet, now is your chance.
